Core Items

Main Hand

Item: Glyph Spiker

As we use an Elemental Attack/Critical Strike build, the weapon is the most important slot. It is going to provide us with most of our flat damage and Critical Strike Chance necessary to deal with the most challenging content in the game. A great Claw will have high Elemental Damage and Critical Strike Chance rolls on a favorable base such as the Imperial Claw or Gemini Claw.

The most important prefixes on our weapon are:

• Adds(89–121)to(180–210)Fire Damage

The most important suffixes on our weapon are:

• (30–38)% increased Critical Strike Chance

Claw Crafing Guide

1. Purchase an Imperial Claw with one of the following fractured modifiers:
   • Adds(15–21)to(296–344)Lightning Damage
   • Adds(81–111)to(163–189)Cold Damage
   • Adds(89–121)to(180–210)Fire Damage
2. Use a Deafening Essence of Anger, Deafening Essence of Wrath or Deafening Essence of Hatred until you hit a t3+ flat elemental prefix.
3. If your suffixes are full use an Orb of Annulment in hopes of opening up a suffix, if you remove a prefix repeat step 2.
4. Craft Prefixes cannot be changed and use a Veiled Chaos Orb.
5. Block % Damage per Frenzy/Endurance/Power Charge before unveiling.
6. Unveil in hopes of getting % increased Attack Speed or % increased Critical Strike Chance.
7. Craft % increased Attack Speed or % increased Critical Strike Chance.
8. If you have an open suffix use an Exalted Orb in hopes of getting a useful affix.
9. Enchant the following affix with the harvest bench: Quality does not increase Physical Damage, 1% increased Attack Speed per 8% Quality.

Off-Hand

Item: Ghoul Wing

The shield slot serves to fill all of the remaining chance to Avoid Ailment and Spell Suppression that we may be missing. Refer to Path of Building or the Character Defense tab to make sure that you have enough of these stats to cap out at 100% for both. The Cardinal Round Shield base grants a huge amount of flat Armour and Evasion, which helps boost our defense and damage thanks to Perseverance. Synthesis implicits can also be a good upgrade path for this slot, keeping in mind that most are not available at the highest Item Level, and that they can be very expensive. Make sure to check trade for crafted shields as the Expedition vendor Rog can make great shields that are sold for a cheap price other players.

Shield Crafing Guide

1. Purchase a Cardinal Round Shield with fractured +22% chance to Suppress Spell Damage.
2. Use Deafening Essence of Greed until you hit % chance to Avoid Elemental Ailments with an open suffix.
3. Craft 20% increased Fire and Lightning Resistances
4. if you have open prefixes use an Exalted Orb in hopes of getting a useful affix.

Helmet

Item: Damnation Guardian

The Helmet is the easiest place to gain the most amount of % increased Mana Reservation Efficiency of Skills. Thanks to the Helmet and Body Armour we are able to meet the reservation requirements to fit our Auras. The Deafening Essence of Loathing grants (9–10)% increased Mana Reservation Efficiency of Skills as a suffix. Therefore, it is important to start from a fractured base and work first on perfecting your suffixes before finishing your prefixes with Eldritch Chaos Orb, Eldritch Exalted Orb, and Eldritch Orb of Annulment.

The most important prefixes on our Helmet are:

• +(90–99)to maximum Life
• +1to Level of Socketed Projectile Gems, Projectiles Pierce an additional Target (crafted)
• % increased Armour and Evasion
• +(43–95)to Evasion Rating/Armour +(29–33)to maximum Life

The most important suffixes on our Helmet are:

Helmet Crafting Guide

1. Purchase a Pig-Faced Bascinet or Nightmare Bascinet with fractured +(481–600)to Accuracy Rating.
2. Seek a Labyrinth helmet enchanting service for the Lightning Strike fires 2 additional Projectiles enchant.
3. Use Deafening Essence of Loathing until you hit +(51–55)to Dexterity, Strength, Intelligence.
4. Apply Searing Exarch dominance with a Grand Eldritch Ember
5. Clean the Prefixes with Eldritch Orb of Annulment.
6. Craft % increased Armour and Evasion with the crafting bench and use an Eldritch Exalted Orb in hopes of hitting t3+ +#to maximum Life
7. If you did not hit the life modifier, remove the crafted modifier and use an Eldritch Orb of Annulment to remove the modifier.
8. Repeat steps 6-7 until you hit the desired modifier.
9. Eldritch craft the following implicits:

Body Armour

Item: Glyph Shroud

The body armour is a great place to get (9–10)% increased Mana Reservation Efficiency of Skills thanks to the Deafening Essence of Loathing. Body Armours grant the highest amount of Spell Suppression out of any other item slot. It is advisable to try to get a fractured high roll here so that less stress is put on other gear slots to reach Spell Suppression Cap. Luckily, we can get Spell Suppression on our Gloves, Shield, and Helmet as well. However, make sure that you are keeping track of how much you need so that you do not fall short on reaching 100%.

The most important prefixes on our body armour are:

• +(120–129)to maximum Life
• 8% increased Life, 8% increased Mana
• % increased Armour and Evasion
• 8% increased maximum Life
• 8% increased maximum Mana

The most important suffixes on our body armour are:

4. Clean the Prefixes with Eldritch Orb of Annulment.

Item: Vengeance Grasp

Gloves are a great slot to fill out our Accuracy and the rest of the Spell Suppression needed to reach 100% chance. It is very important to roll for Skills target1additional nearby Enemy with Lesser Eldritch Embers or Greater Eldritch Embers and upgrade it all the way up to Exquisite (Tier 5) with the Orb of Conflict.

The most important prefixes on our Gloves are:

Item: Torment Goad

Thanks to Eldritch implicits and the Deafening Essence of Loathing we can craft up to 67% chance to Avoid Elemental Ailments on our Boots. This enables us to be fully ailment immune with the 20% granted on the passive skill tree, and a craft on our Shield.

The most important prefixes on our Boots are:

• +(80–89)to maximum Life
• 30-35% increased Movement Speed
• +(21–42)to Evasion Rating/Armour +(24–28)to maximum Life

The most important Suffixes on our Boots are:

• (31–35)% chance to Avoid Elemental Ailments
• +(51–55)to Strength, Dexterity, Intelligence
• +(31–35)% to Chaos Resistance
• +% chance to Suppress Spell Damage

The most important Eldritch Implicits on our Boots are:

• 32% chance to Avoid Elemental Ailments
• 5% increased Action Speed

Boots Crafting Guide

1. Purchase Dragonscale Boots with fractured +(51–55)to Strength, Dexterity, Intelligence.
2. Use Deafening Essence of Loathing until you hit T1 +(51–55)to Strength, Dexterity, Intelligence.
3. Craft Suffixes Cannot be Changed with the crafting bench, or buy and use a Wild Bristle Matron beast in your menagerie depending on which one is cheaper.
4. Use a Veiled Chaos Orb
5. Craft +70 to maximum Life before unveil a movement speed modifier.
6. Eldritch craft the following implicits:
   • 32% chance to Avoid Elemental Ailments
   • 5% increased Action Speed
7. Use an Exalted Orb in hopes of getting a useful modifier if you have an open prefix.

Amulet

Item: Crystallised Omniscience

Changes the way characters are itemised. Instead of Elemental Resistances or other Suffixes, we now favour Attributes. The best Anoint for you may vary and can be checked with Path of Building, but so long as you are not yet at 1500+ Omniscience, Utmost Intellect is your best choice.

Rings

Item: Hypnotic Knuckle & Plague Eye

Rings are our main source of both Chaos Resistance and Attributes. The Expedition vendor, Rog, can reliably make triple Attribute suffix rings. So it shouldn't be too expensive to craft or buy a good triple Attribute suffix base. Once you have a triple Attribute suffix Amethyst Ring base, you can craft: "Suffixes Cannot be Changed" on the crafting bench and proceed to using a Veiled Chaos Orb to gain a veiled prefix. Before unveiling, block Mana with the Crafting Bench and look for Life as your unveil. To finish the ring, you can craft % increased Elemental Damage with Attack Skills and finally augment with a Redeemer's Exalted Orb with hopes of getting a good prefix.

The most important prefixes on our Rings are:

• +(70–79)to maximum Life
• (37–42)% increased Elemental Damage with Attack Skills
• Adds#to#Cold/Fire/Lightning Damage to Attacks

The most important suffixes on our Rings are:

• +(51–55)to Strength, Dexterity, Intelligence
• +(31–35)% to Chaos Resistance
• +% to all Elemental Resistances

Belt

Item: Perseverance

The best in slot belt for the build is Perseverance. On top of its great synergy with the Champion ascendancy, we also get rewarded with permanent Onslaught (grants 20% attack, cast, and movement speed).

This build can reach Armour and Evasion values of around 80,000. This means that The Perseverance would grant 400% increased damage, making it the most powerful belt in the game for this build. As this belt is quite common, it won't be too difficult to find a corrupted variant with a beneficial Corruption.

Flasks

Flasks provide a massive amount of defense and damage. Roll, use and enchant all your flasks following these combinations:

• Bottled Faith
• Progenesis
• Diamond Flask
• Granite Flask
• Jade Flask

Enchant your flasks with Instilling Orbs:

• Used when Charges Reach Full

Ensure your flasks have 1 of these prefixes:

• +(32–35)to Maximum Charges
• (31–35)% chance to gain a Flask Charge when you deal a Critical Strike
• Gain3Charges when you are Hit by an Enemy
• (36–40)% increased Duration

Have 1 of each of these suffixes:

• % increased Evasion during Flask effect
• % increased Armour during Flask effect
• % increased Critical Strike Chance during Flask Effect

Jewels

Watcher's Eye

Item: Watcher's Eye

The Watcher's Eye can grant a boost to both your defences and offences. Since this build utilizes two defensive, and one offensive Aura there is a wide range of mods we can look for on it. It is recommended to look for at least 1 damage stat and 1 defensive/utility stat listed below:

• % chance to Suppress Spell Damage while affected by Grace
• % chance to Evade Attack Hits while affected by Grace
• % increased Movement Speed while affected by Grace
• % additional Physical Damage Reduction while affected by Determination
• to Armour while affected by Determination
• % increased Attack Speed while affected by Precision
• % to Critical Strike Multiplier while affected by Precision
• % increased Attack Damage while affected by Precision

Inspired Learning

The Inspired Learning grants a significant boost in map clearing by stealing a single modifier from a rare monster when it is killed for 20 seconds. This build has two great locations to slot this jewel on the passive skill tree, making the opportunity cost of slotting it into the build very low. This jewel can be purchased for a low price thanks to divination cards. It will greatly aid map clearing speed, so it is highly advised to fit one into the build if mapping is your primary focus.

Cluster Jewel

The LS Champ Cluster grants utility and damage as well as an extra jewel socket to place your Forbidden Flame + Forbidden Flesh combination. The best cluster jewel type for the build grants Claw Attacks deal12% increased Damage with Hits and Ailments, Dagger Attacks deal12% increased Damage with Hits and Ailments. You can choose a combination of the following:

Prefix:

• Calamitous
• Fan of Blades

Suffix:

• Smite the Weak
• Martial Prowess
• Heavy Hitter

Forbidden Flesh & Flame

The best Forbidden Flame + Forbidden Flesh combination allocates Fatal Flourish. This notable causes the player's non-travel Attack Skills to Repeat an additional time similar to Multistrike Support and causes the final Repeat to do 60% more Damage. It Grants 30% More Damage overall if the player can attack consecutively, but locks the player down for two attack animations. When the Vaal version of Vaal Lightning Strike is used, Fatal Flourish doubles the amount of beams it shoots out. Vaal Lightning Strike is granted a repeat, at no additional attack time throughout it's duration, granting the Vaal version of the skill a 130% more multiplier.

Brutal Restraint

The Brutal Restraint is slotted at the Ranger jewel socket next to the Frenzy Charge. Near this socket there is a good concentration of passives the build already paths to for its damage and utility. This makes it the favorable location for it to be slotted. The jewel will grant additional powerful bonuses to passives allocated within the radius of it's ring. The bonuses we are looking for on these passives are any combination of the following:

• 5% increased Dexterity
• 8% increased effect of Non-Curse Auras from your Skills
• 25% chance to gain Alchemist's Genius when you use a Flask
• +20 to Dexterity
• 5% increased Attack and Cast Speed
• 4% increased maximum Life
• 5% chance to Blind Enemies on Hit
• 20% increased Projectile Damage
